Wealth Builder – Wants or Needs?

If You Buy Things You Do Not Need, Soon You Will Have to Sell Things You Need. – Warren Buffett

Every human being wants a lot of things, there is no limit for this desire. The beauty of wants are they are not needed to live a healthy, secure, wealthy life. Desire for wants is elevated when you want to fit in with a community or compete with others. This desire is especially harmful when you don’t have sufficient means saved for rainy days. If you are unlucky the community you hang out might not able to help you as they might be in unlucky position to help you. Like Warren Buffett said if you buy things you don’t need and just for show off you will soon to sell what you need.

For example buying a house, car, etc.. by borrowing money (credit) beyond your ability to pay back will lead to sell these assert to pay off you debt. Wants also break up families and friends as no one want to be with a person with negative value (debt). if you look around you will find a lot of example. Guess what these people wonder why it happened to them when it too late.

Scary thing is one mishap with health emergency with not wealth saved will lead to disaster I wish for not to happen to any one.. but some are unlucky. Hope you are not of them.

“Don’t bite off more than you can chew” – don’t take to big of a risk with out proper planning or else you will choke to death.

Basic needs are human rights without these human beings cannot live with dignity and honer. Every society for ages strive to provide these. food, shelter, health, education, friends, family are most basic needs for humans.

Extended needs depend on the society or the individual person. these include things like entertainment, devices, concerts, watching live games, celebrations, As long as the extended needs does not break your wallet and does not drain you rainy day saving you are good.

Needs or Wants? – Each individual need to decide the balance which works for them. For me needs is more important as this will help build wealth and once sufficient wealth is acquired its time to enjoy the wants.
